MittaTukku INTERGEO 2026
INTERGEO 2026 – new encounters, technology, and collaboration opportunities
In September, we headed to Munich for the INTERGEO 2026 event to explore the latest solutions in the surveying industry, meet with partners, and seek out new collaboration opportunities. INTERGEO was held from September 15–17 at Messe München, bringing together over 18,600 visitors from 121 countries and more than 530 exhibitors.
Over the three days, the fair clearly demonstrated how rapidly the surveying industry is evolving. The boundaries between GNSS surveying, 3D mapping, LiDAR, machine control, reality capture, and software are converging. Increasingly, it is not about an individual device, but an entire workflow where data flows from surveying to design, to the job site, and finally into finished data.
CHCNAV – a wide range of surveying solutions
One of the highlights at the fair was CHCNAV. The company showcased a broad portfolio ranging from GNSS positioning and LiDAR to mobile mapping, surveying, hydrography, and digital tools. CHCNAV’s INTERGEO presentations also emphasized PointX positioning services and 3D mapping workflows.
It was particularly interesting to see how different surveying technologies can be integrated into the same ecosystem. On display were, among others, the RS10 and RS30 mobile mapping solutions and the Apache surveying system for hydrographic mapping.
CHCNAV's solutions are also of interest to us at Mittatukku, as we can offer our customers technologies suitable for various surveying and job site applications.
Leica Geosystems – developments in surveying and reality capture
Leica Geosystems' booth also had plenty to see. At INTERGEO, Leica showcased, among other things, new reality capture solutions, the Leica RTC series, the TS20 robotic total station, and iCON solutions.
A particularly topical novelty was the Leica GS11 GNSS smart antenna, which was introduced just before INTERGEO 2026. The GS11 combines GNSS surveying, visual guidance, and image-based measurement into the same workflow. Leica’s new X-PAD ecosystem, in turn, integrates field software, surveying instruments, and connected services.
At the Leica booth, it was once again clear how surveying is shifting toward more visual and data-driven work.
More than just new products from the fair
INTERGEO left us with many thoughts on where the surveying industry is heading next. Key themes of the event included artificial intelligence, GeoAI, digital twins, reality capture, BIM, and interconnected geospatial datasets.
An important part of our trip to the fair was also the discussions with various manufacturers and industry players. Mittatukku’s goal is to build a long-term cooperation network that allows us to offer functional and practical surveying solutions to Finnish customers.
INTERGEO 2026 was a great place for that.
We headed home from Munich with new ideas, new contacts, and new collaboration opportunities. Now it is time to put the ideas seen at the fair into practice.
